What is ours, what is not, and what to do if you think we have got it wrong.

Draft — pending review by a Hong Kong solicitor before launch.

Our content

The questions, explanations, curriculum mapping, software and visual design on this site are original work and are protected by copyright. You may use them for personal learning and teaching. You may not copy them in bulk, republish them, or use them to build a competing question bank.

What we deliberately do not use

We do not reproduce textbook content from any publisher, and we do not reproduce past examination papers. Our questions are generated originally; where an examination format is imitated, only the publicly known structure is followed — the number of questions, the time allowed, the mix of question types — and never any actual question.

Publicly available curriculum documents are used as reference for what a topic covers and at which year level. That is a reference to a public document, not a reproduction of it.

Names that are not ours

“TSA”, “HKDSE” and similar names belong to their respective bodies. Where we use them, it is descriptive — to say which examination a practice paper is modelled on. It does not indicate any endorsement, approval or affiliation, and there is none.

AI-generated content

Content on this site is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and verified by automated processes, without a human teacher reviewing each item. We state this on every page rather than in the small print.

If you think we have infringed something

Write to info@talkingpencil.com with the page address, the material you are concerned about, and what right you hold. We will look at it promptly, and we will take material down while we do rather than after.

Open-source software

This site is built on open-source software, used under its respective licences. Notices are available on request.
