TalkingPencil

The curriculum we follow

How TalkingPencil maps to the Education Bureau's documents, and how much of each year is ready today.

What the documents do and do not say

  • · Primary mathematics is set out year by year, in learning units.
  • · Secondary mathematics and all of English are set out by key stage, not by year. Where we place a topic in a particular year, that is our own judgement.
  • · No document sets a term-by-term or lesson-by-lesson schedule. Learning units are stated not to be in teaching order and each school plans its own year, so our pacing is only a suggestion.

Ready now

A topic is listed once it has questions. That does not mean the whole of a year is covered.
