Mia wrote this note. One word needs a capital letter. Last Friday, Ben and i made a card for Mum. Which word is it?

Remember: Check the first word. Then look for a name, a place, a day, a month and the word I.

Common mistakes

  • Chose a word that does not need a capital here. Look for a name, a day, a month, the word I, or the first word.
  • Chose an ordinary naming word. Words like bag and park only need a capital at the start of a sentence.
